Favorite Color: The color of an alpine lake in summer
Favorite Food: Leftover cold pepperoni pizza with ranch dressing
“Tricks of the Trade:”Focus on truth when dealing with an aggressive or timid animal. This is what they will sense and you’ll have a much better chance of getting along. When that doesn’t work, I sing the Carpenters’ song Close to You. They like the part about the birds falling from the sky.
Favorite Dog Name: Blizzard
Favorite Cat Name: Couga
Favorite “Alternative” Pet: Lizards and frogs
Favorite “Downtime” Activity: I play with wood and power tools in my shop.
Best Pet-sitting Experience: My first was a defining moment. I accepted I had a purpose in life, that working with animals was what I was supposed to be doing.
What accomplishment are you most proud of? I took my passion for animals and the unconditional love they’ve given me, and I found a way to put those two things together and create No Furry Worry.
What kind of car would you drive if money were not an object? The biggest, plushest, most expensive Winnebago (RV) that gets completely re-done on ‘Pimp My Ride’ and turned into a traveling doggie day care on wheels. Decked out with a grassy area, agility course, grooming station, lap pool, feeding and drinking stations, couches and beds and a time-out pen.
What is your “Dream Vacation?” I’m not familiar with the term ‘vacation’ but I think it refers to any place that’s hot where you get to lie around by a pool all day and have very tanned and friendly people bring you ceviche and margaritas.
What does your PSI Membership mean to you?I put my business together on a shoestring and with all the information, resources, education, and commitment to professional pet sitters that the PSI membership includes, I have a confidence now that I otherwise may not have had.
